Almost forgot to do this tonight.
Today was messy and unpleasant-strange. Balls were dropped re: Dad's treatments, so he didn't get out of dialysis until after 9:00 (instead of his usual 6:30).
Anyway, saw "Harry, un ami qui vous veut du bien" ("With A Friend Like Harry" is how it's being marketed in the States, but if someone could give me a literal translation, I'd be happy), by Dominik Moll. This was quite good. Michel, devoted husband and father of three meets an old school classmate (Harry) in the restroom of a gas station. Harry is rich andÂ…wellÂ…full of surprises. "With A Friend Like Harry" is a bit like "Chuck & Buck" and "The Talented Mr. Ripley", but the reasons for the rather villainous Harry's behavior are less clear than the stalkery types in either of those films. I do recommend it.
Today's Link Of The Day is the site for the NPR program "This American Life". "This American Life" take one subject a week, and examines it from any number of iewpoints. In Chicago, it airs Friday nights, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday afternoons on WBEZ 91.5 FM. From the site, you can also listen to nearly all of the shows for free in RealAudio. Ira Glass and his team do a really terrific job-"This American Life" is appointment radio. http://www.thisamericanlife.org
