Hell with it, let's rant.
I really fuckin' hate astrology.
I think it's counter-evolutionary. I want to buy newspapers strictly and solely so that I can remove the horoscopes. It's a stupid, stupid practice. There is absolutely NO reason that I should know what the hell my sign is. Would you go to a palm-reader? Would you call Miss Cleo? Then what the hell do you read your horoscope for?
I had a therapist once who I rather liked. Then she tried to explain away a personality quirk with "Of course, I'm a Scorpio, so I'm that way". That instant was exactly when I stopped respecting or paying attention to her.
Evolve. Stop caring about such stupid shit. Astrology is a half-step away from Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery". It's superstition, and humans, as a race, don't need it.
By the way, anyone who attempts to comment "Oh, you're just saying that because you're a [whatever--you can guess, but I ain't tellin'--on second thought, don't even try to guess, you'll just incur more wrath]", or similar remarks, in a misguided attempt to be cute, gets banned, permanently, from ever again commenting on anything I write.
My work sucks, pretty much. I'll be doing 2-10 Sunday-Thursday, for at least the next two weeks. Then, perhaps, things will change.
