P's out of the hospital. One of the things they discovered while he was in was that he is apparently running a severe vitamin B12 deficiency, so now he's going to get shots of it while he's at dialysis. M is still sick. She went to the doctor's office to have some blood drawn because they're thinking it's a recurrence of mono.

I was awakened this morning before 9 when she told me she was leaving. Three minutes later, I was out of bed because "My car won't start" was shouted up the stairs. The working theory (theorized by me) is that since her car hadn't been driven since last Saturday, all the oil had collected in the pan which lowered the pressure significantly. Or something. I ended up driving her to her doctor's office. Thrilled me terribly, it did.

Looking at the NCAA tournament, and the wreckage of my bracket (filled out only to test my powers of prognostication)Â…actually, just having recounted, I did fairly well-I picked 21 of the 32 first-round games correctly, including 7-for-8 in the East Region and 6-for-8 in the Midwest. Unfortunately, one of my Final 8 (Oklahoma State) and two of my Sweet 16 (Pepperdine and Utah) picks lost in the first round. C'est la vie.

I got my new glasses! As opposed to the ones in the picture, these are a little more rectangular. I hope to soon have new pictures and you'll be able to see for yourself.

Saw "Ice Age", directed by Chris Wedge. It was fairly pleasant. The animation was terrific (outside of the people), and the story, while not as universal as "Monsters, Inc.", or "Shrek" (it skews a little too kid) was fairly fun. I can't remember the last time I saw an animated picture that started with one of the main characters marching off to his own suicide.

And then, tonight, a small gathering with friends. There was cake and naughty socks.

Today's Link Of The Day is something you may have seen before-apparently it's being sent around. I hadn't seen it previously and I thought it was kinda ha-ha. http://members.aol.com/johnk0/godkills.jpg
