Woke up at about 9:20 today, drove P to dialysis, came home, and went back to bed. Several hours later, I picked him up and brought him home.
This was cool-I got someone ticketed for illegal parking. I'm sure you're familiar with the striped zones that separate handicapped parking spaces. Those spaces are no parking so people who have to be transferred from, say, a wheelchair to the car can have the space they need. P and I got back to the car after dialysis and, lo and behold, there was someone parked in the striped zone on his side of the car. Now, this has happened before-once when it happened the other guy actually hit our car-but I was just sick of it. After decided against an angry note left on the windshield (too minor) and smashing in all the guy's windows (too major), I sauntered over to the hospital's public safety office and asked who I needed to talk to about parking enforcement. The guard on duty wandered out to the lot with me, saw the situation, and called the local police department who, when we left, were sending an officer up to ticket the bastard who'd parked illegally. Yeah, I felt some small frisson of righteous power, which, as we all know, is really dangerous for me.
Moved closer to a major announcement; while I may be ready to make it tomorrow, I will probably hold off until Monday.
Not a hell of a lot more than that-I bought Trix and Lucky Charms.
