Sting has confessed that he "sexed up" tales of his Tantric lovelife to impress Bob Geldof on a drunken night out.

Sting had claimed he and wife Trudi Styler were advocates of tantric sex and could make love for up to eight hours at a time.

But the singer has now confessed that he made up the claims to impress the Live Aid star on a drunken night out, reports ITV.

Sting said: "I think I mentioned to Bob I could make love for eight hours. What I didn't say was that this included four hours of begging and then dinner and a movie."
