News 'n' notes:

Thanks to everyone who replied with shock and outrage over the turn of events yesterday.

This news has brightened my mood a bit. Had things gone better yesterday, I might be agog with joy.

This is the gloriously vile, frequently work-unsafe cartoon The Pain--When Will It End?, which I discovered recently when the collection passed through work; I liked what I saw so much I decided I had to have one for my very own. (The recommendation from David Foster Wallace helped, too.) It most definitely makes my life better. Check the archives for some really great Wrong Fun.

Speaking of Wrong Fun, here's one more thing I just found on Die Puny Humans.
