She keeps spiking fevers, which indicates that she's fighting off some kind of infection. They've put her on a powerful antibiotic, but there seems to be no effect as yet. They're giving the antibiotic the weekend to work, and if there's no change by Monday, they're going to do a thoracotomy.
And right here, right now, I'm closer to freaking out about this than I have been.
