Aw, HELL yes.

Next step: getting Macaulay Culkin to play Arseface.

Not real wild about the resumes of the creative team, but there's always hope. HOWEVER: James Marsden? What the hell? He couldn't act his way out of a thin fog.

Also, Arseface. Don't know where this picture came from, though.

I will also say that one thing worrisome about this is that HBO tried something similar, albeit bleaker, with Carnivale. And where is that show now?

From the makers of Grumpier Old Men?

Great, now I have to buy the rest of the Preacher trades before they fuck up the covers with their tie-in bullshit!

It's been noted that since this takes place in the modern world, it should be easier on the budget than Carnivale was.

In fairness, you should have done that anyway. Shame on you for not, yet.

I think the action scenes might cancel out that advantage.

Maybe. Most of the action in Preacher was fistfights or gunplay, though, so I don't know that it would be too costly. The single most expensive arc would be War in the Sun, I'd imagine.

And the scenes taking place in Heaven, probably.
