Muffins, work, football, sleep.

Applied for a job with the company I'm currently working for. Think it will go well…

Confidential to "Wayne": you got your pseudonym because, while casting about for names, the CD on top of the stack on my desk was Fountains Of Wayne's eponymous debut. Consider yourself lucky-the next two in the stack were The Jesus Lizard and KMFDM. And if you think I wouldn't have named you "Jesus" or "En" (En Esch being one of the driving forces behind KMFDM), you just don't know me, do you? Of course, I suppose I could have called you "Stan"…

Today's Link Of The Day is an article on apotemnophilia. Apotemnophilia (which is a word I'm absolutely going to add to my user dictionary in Word) is, according to the article, an attraction to the idea of being an amputee. These people are out there. They're frightening. And there may be nothing that can be done for or about them. Read on: http://www.theatlantic.com/issues/2000/12/elliott.htm

Stan, or Mortimer, or Herb, sure.

I commented on this to my friend Danielle because she has currently come most of the way out of the other side of a hurtful love-interest situation with some jackass named Wayne.

Hey, how do you move your photo to the journal page?

And you know, I should have known better...my step dad's middle name is Wayne, and I don't like him. That should have tipped me off that falling in love with a "person" (I use that term loosely) named Wayne was not a smart idea.

I would have adopted aliases for everyone, but frankly, I am lazy and would have had to keep looking them up so I could keep them all straight. Much easier to just be blunt. :)

If you ever read "News of the Weird" (motto: we do no research whatsoever and believe practically anything!), they record how many violent criminals have the middle name "Wayne". It's really spooky.

Now that I think about it, I have an uncle with the middle name "Wayne"... I'd better call my cousins.
