A man goes to see a doctor for the first time.
The man says to the doctor, "Doctor, I have been so depressed lately. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I fear all my personal relationships are melting down and abandoning me, all because of things I have done or things I have failed to do. Doctor, what can I do? Can I be helped?"
The doctor thinks for a moment and says, "The perfect treatment for you is right here in town. The famed clown, Pagliacci is here performing with his circus this week. Go see the clown, and all your troubles will melt away in laughter."
The man then says, "But Doctor, I am Pagliacci."
