OK, ladies and gentlemen, I have just heard the wrongest thing ever to appear in a commercial.

It's a Nissan ad. Nothing wrong with that; they have to try to sell cars somehow, more power to them.

It's a Velvet Underground song in a Nissan ad. Hey, if it means Maureen Tucker doesn't have to work at bloody Wal-Mart, I have no problem with musicians selling songs for use in commercials.

They didn't use any of the lyrics, but...

Seriously, what the FUCK?!?

Either someone doesn't know what they were getting, or, more likely, they didn't expect anybody to be able to identify it.

I felt the same way when they were using the slogan "For those who sold your soul, here's your chance to buy it back" to sell the new VW Bugs.

Btw...I saw the same commercial and had the same reaction.
