If you don't need all the bells and whistles for everything iPod. I would suggest a look at the other options out there.

I don't think so. Just an MP3 player. But we don't listen to the radio much anyway. Commercials are satan's messengers.

Huh. I am too! Though I was hoping for one that would play FM and NPR... that might be a long shot. I've found though, that ever since my music collection was stolen oh so long ago, I haven't had the energy to really build it up again. I think that a magic device that would put it all in one easy place (which would, of course, be under much higher security - I'm no dummy anymore) might enable a little more freedom.

john with an ipod?! hmm thats really an interesting subject. i never thought of it that way. hmm, i say you should go for it! and while your at it, you can't buy an ipod without an awefulsome priced sleek case because the ipod was designed to be as slippery as a soap bar... oh and then you can't forget to get the Ishuffle which costs a mere amazing $129 to do so much for your ipod, like shuffle it! oh yea and i bet they will probably come out eventually with a carrying case for that Ishuffle, and then possibly an Iremote or something because they know how much you need a remote for your personal handheld audio player. well as sarcastic as that is, i still think you would be able to enjoy it if you manage to find the time to organize all your music onto it. just try not to get carried away with the acessories, ispeakers probably, iradioAmonly, IradioFMonly, and some iheartapple theme.
