File under "I'm not saying, I'm just saying...": Just sent this e-mail to the website-listed contact address for Fountains of Wayne. If anyone else happens to see this movie and knows what the hell song I'm talking about, listen for it:
Hey, guys. Huge fan.

OK, this is going to sound strange, but...I saw the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" last night, and I was struck by one specific music cue that is used extensively in the last half-hour or so of the film. To my (admittedly amateur) ear, it sounds a whole lot like your song "All Kinds Of Time", specifically the "He looks to the left/he looks to the right/And there in a golden ray of light/is his open man/just like he planned" part. I mean, it sounds A LOT like it, so much so that I stayed through the credits to see if you or the song were mentioned, and I was surprised to see that you weren't.

I don't know. Maybe I'm crazy, maybe I'm wrong, but at least to me, it was very noticeable, to the point of wanting to call it to your attention.

Anyway, hope the sessions are going well, and I can't wait for the new CD.

Interesting! Who did they credit for the song?

They didn't actually use the song, per se, but it was part of the instrumental score by Theodore Shapiro. That said, it REALLY REALLY sounds like "All Kinds Of Time". The words I was sort of soft-pedaling around were "plagiarism" or, more directly, "ripoff". We'll see.

Well, it's way better than "Superman Returns".
