Is Snakes on a Plane "good" in the classical sense of the term? Well, no.

However, it is AWESOME.

In what sense?

In the sense that there's a plane, and there are snakes on it.

And the snakes bite people. Any place on the body you've ever wondered, "Ooh, wouldn't it suck to get bitten there?", someone gets bitten there.

I was (pleasantly) surprised by how much of both Airport (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065377/combined) and Airplane! (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080339/combined) there was in it.

Really, though, I had a hell of a time. Remember, "simple" doesn't mean the same thing as "stupid"--in this case, it's a lot closer to "elegant".

Might see it again tonight.

Intriguing. I was just wondering if it would be disappointing if they failed to take themselves seriously in the deadly serious way that the Airplane! classic did... and just tried to make a crappy action flick.
