Not a busy day, but an odd one.
Woke up early because I thought I was going to have to make a trip to Indiana to buy Powerball tickets. The original idea was for P to buy them after dialysis. I wasn't comfortable with the idea of him doing that much driving after dialysis, so I volunteered to go. Last night, when he was three-quarters asleep, he agreed with me. This morning, he said he would do it, and when pressed for a reason, he said "Because I want to". I considered telling him to stamp his foot and threaten to hold his breath until he turns blue, but decided against it. I shook my head but more or less had to let him go, because he was being so damned stubborn about it.
He didn't go.
He didn't get out of dialysis until almost4. I would have left at 11 and been back by 2, 2:30, tops. But NO.
In staying here, I got to deal with something really fun-at 3:25, the tornado sirens started going off. Apparently a funnel cloud of some kind was seen 3 miles southwest of Lisle, which means it was about 5 miles from me. So it's run to the basement and wait half an hour for the all-clear siren, all the while chewing my fingernails.
And, in final good news, the scrollwheel on my mouse started working again. Woo!
