No idea. The lack of invitation from anywhere suggests to me that no one I know particularly wants to host (or to invite me). I shouldn't say that. My mother has suggested we have a family New Year's fete. This is not the first time she has tried to convince her children to do the New Year's thing with the family. She tried to get us to go to Wisconsin Dells for the Millennium - wanted us to be together in case of scary Y2K bug. Anyway, lacking good reason to snub her suggestion, I will be having Strauss Christmas. On New Year's. Yeah, we're weird.
