Just because my life's extremely slow-moving at this point, sound off if you're at work today--hell, sound off if you're even READING this today--and I'll tell you who will play you in the upcoming biopic of my life, Too Smart For His Own Good, starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman and written, produced, and directed by the Coen Brothers. (I'm also accepting suggestions for alternate titles.)

We've only met once. Will I get a big name to play me in an uncredited cameo appearance?

Hmmm...I don't know why Sean Penn seems the appropriate person, but I think we can work him in for a day of shooting.

you don't know me, actually, so i don't expect there to be a part for me, but i just wanted to let you know that i like the title as it is, and that you've picked a great creative team, so far.

and that i am also fairly bored at work today.

Your comments will be voiced by Catherine Zeta-Jones. Do not argue with the grand ineffability of casting!

Joshua Malina.

(I'll have Sorkin come in and do a pass on the script.)

I'm working today. I just had a pap smear.

You will be voiced by Christa Miller, of "Scrubs" and "The Drew Carey Show". This is primarily because of your second comment: on an episode of "Scrubs" she was trying to seduce a hunky gynecologist, and when asked why she was going in for her fourth pap smear in a month, she shot back "I got a lotta pap!"

I guess hunky gynos aren't that uncommon. "Just Shoot Me" had a show about that, too.

And I had one. It's...disturbing on a whole other level.

Oh, and hit me up, please!

Hmmm...I'd say Maggie Gyllenhaal, but as you've just watched Secretary, you might not be terribly thrilled about that.

Eh, what the hell. I'm stickin' with it. Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Actually, I don't mind it at all. I thought she was great in that movie. My impression of her as an actress--which is limited, since I think I've seen probably three movies she's been in--is that she's a pretty fearless artist. And damned if that's not what my goal is as an actress! So Maggie is okay with me. :)

It's a cartoon?? Sweet!

Amend the title to "Too Smart For His Own Damned Good" you need the "damned" in there to really give it some pop, and because movies with swears in the title do better than movies without them. It's true.

Peter Krause. Yes, you will be Casey McCall.

Hmmm...between the choice for you and for Bilal, it may be evident that I've been rewatching Sports Night recently.

I'm working today. You may know me from [livejournal.com profile] bdar's wedding, the game night prior to [livejournal.com profile] bdar's wedding, and from knocking me out of contention for even 5th place in our fantasy football league. Oh, the ignominy.

I was wondering if you had forgotten me. Hilary Swank? I think I really must protest. Hilary has yet to prove that she has the capacity for silliness and giggles. Two things which I am very good at. Of course, you may have edited out all the giggles in your movie. You wouldn't, would you?

Barry Pepper.

Isn't that at least some step up from when I'd previously answered this question for you and said "Billy Bob Thornton"?

Date: 2006-12-29 03:04 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] somebodystrange.livejournal.com
I've just looked at his IMDB page, and realized that if I have seen Barry Pepper, it was in an episode of M.A.N.T.I.S., which I'm pretty sure I saw all of when it was on in first-run.

He's been in some big movies, but I haven't seen any of them...

Still, I think I'd take it over Nick Saban Billy Bob Thornton. (Sorry, they look alike to me.)
