So I get out of bed this morning and promptly fall down.

As I'm sprawled out on the floor, wondering what just happened, I noticed that my left ankle (which, for the record, I broke ten years ago) hurt a little bit.

It hurts more than a little bit now. Still walking rather limptastically on it, though.

I'd go to a hospital, but the health insurance that I was told would begin on the first of the year has yet to deliver a card.

Ow. Ow. Ow.

Maybe I'll take some pills at lunch.

Call the health insurance people, or your HR department. They'll make sure that you have the info you need, and you can take that to the doctor. Especially when you tell your HR person that you want to avoid making it worse while at work, and thus having it be a workers comp claim.

Ditto that. Call your insurance people. Sometimes they can send you a temporary card via fax or email. Get that looked at!

Ditto cubed.

In the meantime, stop by Walgreens and pick up a wrap for your ankle if you haven't already done so.
