Hmmm....

Well, it's not like he could spend more money...could he?

What gets interesting is his philsophy with the team. Can you see the free spirited Mark Cuban and the corporate boy's club type John McDonough making nice? Can you see Cuban vs Daley in neighborhood disputes and fights for more night games?

It's not to say I'm not excited at the possibility. It's to say I'm both excited and scared at the possibility.

For all their failings, Tribune Co. is currently providing more than enough money for the club to win. So the blame, if blame there falls, now falls squarely on team management.

But wow...just wow.

Talked about this possibility with you folks at some point - my enthusiasm is undiminished. While it's true that the Tribune took out the checkbook this time around, I maintain that it was motivated by a desire to put the team up for sale, which in turn make me inclined to believe this rumor. Very cool.

Well, now he's denying it. But they always do in situations like this, so I don't necessarily believe the denial any more than the rumor.
