OK, tell me if I'm wrong to be just a wee bit freaked out right now:

When was the last time you saw a car on its side on the side of the road?

I've seen two today.

One has already been documented elsewhere.

The other was on my way back from lunch. A guy in an old Ford Bronco had jumped the curb, completely taken out a tree, and had a massive branch from another fall on him. I arrived on scene at that one apparently less than a minute after it happened, because A) I was the second one in the queue of stopped traffic; B) the woman in front of me had jumped out of her car with her cell phone to her ear trying to see what was going on, and C) the driver was still INSIDE THE CAR (though by the time I got moving again, he was out and walking around.

As Auric Goldfinger said, "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action." It may just be coincidence at this point, but I'm still a little spooked.

Note to self - I will not be riding in the car with you today.

And don't get behind the wheel until like.. next year.

Stop driving around! What if you're a car-flipping-over magnet today???

I'm glad the driver you saw was okay. And I am glad you are okay.

Per your IM last night--If PT Anderson wrote an entire movie around one line in an Aimee Mann song, you've got no excuses, my friend.

An SUV randomly fell over on it's side just half a block away from our front door last fall. We missed it in action, though. We never could figure out how this happened since they were just trying to pull away from the curb. Scary.
