Interesting direction they're going with the Joker--I kinda like the messy, imprecise facepaint. I do need to see Ledger grin before I buy the appearance completely, and of course I need to hear Ledger speak before I buy the performance at all.

The images I've seen so far make me happy. Obviously, the acting and writing will be crucial, but after Brokeback Mountain I have new respect for Ledger, so I'm optimistic.
