Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

• doesn't make a lick of sense,
• is way more fun than the second one,
• is probably a bit too long,
• is the first truly satisfactory blockbuster of the summer, and
• will probably make $9,322,742,036. This weekend.

The worst part of these movies is the opportunity cost they create: for every Pirates that Depp stars in, there's some other movie out there that could have had him but doesn't.

I so agree with you on that one. But again, although I love Tim Burton's universe and I always appreciate Depp's performances in his movies, I'm dying to see him - Depp - in something "else".
