Well, the Lollapalooza 2008 lineup has been announced, and...I'm a little torn. I mean, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, and Kanye West are all big plusses, but...Radiohead? I'd give serious consideration to leaving before their set to beat traffic. Looking over the list again, I see Bloc Party, Okkervil River, Gnarls Barkley, The Kills, and Mark Ronson, all of whom have their allure, but other than Kanye and Gnarls, the bill looks a little light on hip-hop this year, which is too bad, because Rhymefest was my favorite act last year.

I'm leaning toward going, but the revelation of the bill didn't make it the slam dunk I might have hoped.

On a similar topic--anyone in the city able to put up with me for a couple of nights in early August?

See, Radiohead and Nails were the only ones I knew about, and they were enough to make me want to go, even though I live out here.

I don't know why, but I never thought of you as someone who listens to hip hop. Guess I should not make assumptions. :-)
