Lots to say, little time to say it.

"The air pressure alters and the air fills up with artichokes. A smell of piss and sodium, a noise like bitches twisting inwards, caught and left for carrion-(razorlight) (razorlight)-and I fall. Your friend's poetry. The twenty-nine-year-old teenage rebel. Execrable, isn't it? How does a bitch twist inwards? And is it only me, or do poems that don't rhyme reflect a fundamental lack of effort?"-Satan, one of his many literary appearances.

Saw "Thirteen Ghosts" and "Bones" tonight. "Thirteen Ghosts" was…well, formulaic, overdone, insipid, and quite a bit of fun. It gets points for having one of the most fascinating sets in recent film history, as well as being the first movie in a long, long time that starred Matthew Lillard and didn't make me want to punch him. Rent it for next Halloween.

"Bones"…is something else entirely. There are times when it's disturbing, times when it's (intentionally) funny, times when it's amazingly dumb…and it's all held together by a guy who's so charismatic that one wonders why he hasn't just started a cult already, Snoop Dogg. There are things about "Bones" that are very bad-there's a LOT of very easy Mystery Science Theatre 3000 material here (and my associates and I took advantage of some of it)-but it is, ultimately, worth seeing, if only for the first bout of vomiting in a film that will make you forget "The Exorcist".

Not much beyond that. Ate a good meal, much of which I cooked.

Today's Link Of The Day is Trebuchet.com. When one wants something hurled, there are two choices: Randy Johnson, or a trebuchet. Trebuchets are easier to come by, and less expensive, not to mention a whole lot more fun. Trebuchet.com is your one-stop trebuchet resource online. See it for yourself. http://www.trebuchet.com
