I've been accused on more than one occasion of lacking in common sense, and I received an acute reminder of that today.
In recent months (don't ask me when it started, I can't tell you) I've been having trouble with my pants falling down, especially after driving. I'm usually very glad I'm wearing my coat so people can't tell the difficulties I've been having.
Like I said, this has been going on for a while.
It was not until today that I realized, "Hey, maybe if you tighten your belt, it won't be an issue any more!"
I tightened. Problem solved.
As I said at the outset, lack of common sense.
It wasn't until about two hours after the first realization struck that I was hit by the second one: "Hey, if you're tightening your belt, that would imply that you've lost weight!" Honestly, I have no idea on this one: I avoid scales assiduously and have only a general idea of my weight (i.e., too much). But hey, that's a small thrill.
Apparently the nurse screwed up P's dialysis today (she converted the amount of fluid they were supposed to take off from pounds to kilos-twice), so he'll probably have to go back for another three hours tomorrow. Ugh.
