Head throbbing
Got up at 6:58, drove P to church, drove home by 9:45, back in bed by 9:47, set alarm for 12:30, didn't turn alarm on, woke at 1:44, out the door by 1:49, at work at 2:03.
When I woke at 1:44, I actually had this thought process: "Wow, 1:44. That means I can't check e-mail, can't eat, can't shower and I certainly can't lie here thinking about all the things I can't do!"
The pastor at P's church complained about the Excite@Home/AT&T dustup from the pulpit.
My new project at work was, apparently, written by chimpanzees.
Nelly Furtado (woo!) and Britney Spears were both born on this day, three years and an ocean of talent apart. There's meaning there, somewhere.
Best wishes to Bob Davie on his new employment opportunity. Remember, Bob, living well is the best revenge, so find some small Division I program to really build, then march back into South Bend and smear the damn Fighting Irish across the field.
Dammit, it warmed up again.
Today's Link Of The Day is the Apostrophe Preservation Society. The APS aims to, well, preserve the good name and usage of the much-battered apostrophe. They walk a fine line between transcendental dullness and utter kookhood. (I have a fear that if someone started a Hyphen Appreciation League, I'd be brought up on charges of abuse, looking at the ways I batter that already-bruised bit of punctuation.) http://www.apostrophe.fsnet.co.uk/
