I am surrounded by lizards.
No, I haven't been driven even farther off my rocker.
Rather, many of the people around me, co-worker and relative alike, expressed gushing love of the weather we had today (for those not in the Chicago area, it got to about 85°F (29°C) today, and the humidity has started to build up). It's disgusting, really. If this is April, I'm terrified to consider what July will be like. After rejecting Barrow, Alaska as too cold for even me, I started to give real consideration to moving to Anchorage (where it was a lovely 25°F (-4°C) today).
I wonder: is my chronicling here, for you, of my ongoing struggle with mental defect/illness/whatever you want to term it-my depression-illuminating in any way? By laying out what it's like inside the head of a real, live sufferer, am I teaching anything?
These are the questions that plague you when you're a depressive with an exhibitionist streak.
Today's Link Of The Day is pretty much pure Libertarian Party propaganda, but on this day when I ended up making two separate trips to the post office, I find it appropriate. http://www.thelibertycommittee.org/repeal16petition.htm

What I have learned.
Date: 2002-04-16 08:54 am (UTC)It's teaching me that I don't hang out with you nearly enough. And it hurts, and I don't know what else to do about it, since we so rarely venture into each other's territories these days (gee willikers, I called them territories. I can start wearing colors and calling "turf" too, I guess, but I ain't ready for you to go popping caps in ma ass).
I will mention, however, that at some point this month, I intend to go see a free production of Joe Eszterhas' "Showgirls" done entirely with Sock Puppets. Please let me know immediately if you are interested.
