Where are the ugly bands? The Strokes and the Hives are both entirely too concerned with being "cute". Thank God there's a new Korn record today. This is not to say I necessarily dislike the Strokes or the Hives, but I prefer bands who aren't so fucking obsessed with their image. Please, give me a good ugly band!

The bad news is that I have to be up at 7 to take P to a physical therapy appointment. The good news is that I'm sleepy now, so dozing off shouldn't be hard.

Considering Rivers Cuomo's slightly Howard Hughesesque beard, I'd say they're heading in the direction you're asking for. (He looked much better without, in my mind.)

With Borland gone, the Bizkit's ugly quotient is no longer diluted by "weird, but cute."

I'm not sure how you could have missed this one. While yes, four out of five members of Korn are fugly with a capital fu, David Silveria is hot enough on his own to swing the pendulum in to the bona fide cute section for the whole band. Some could argue that it's the music that matters, and his scrumptiousness is an afterthought. I am a huge Korn fan because the music is great, but if nobody was trying to he would not be half naked in every video, be the only drummer who gets as much air time as the frontman, and there sure as hell wouldn't have been a huge billboard of him in nothing but a pair of CK Jeans on the Sunset Strip. viva la eye candy! girls need something for the spank bank, too.

I really wonder who keeps telling the media that The Strokes are cute. I read and hear it a lot, but I just can't see it myself.
